The Hungering Flame

Book Two of the Songreaver’s Tale is now available!

In this second book of my young adult fantasy series, the adventures of Garrett, the apprentice necromancer continue. With the help of Warren the Ghoul and Marla the vampire girl, Garrett must try to find the lost army of the dead and the missing necromancers in the northern swamps. Unfortunately, the armies of the dragon lord are hunting too.

Can Garrett face his greatest fears and find a way to forge a new alliance that might turn the tide of the war?

  1. Have only recently found Songreavers tale books on kindle and am already hooked. You have brought to life such colourful characters woven into such an extraordinary story. There is such a strong friendship between Garrett and Warren and Marla, three characters so different but so similar as well. Glad there were two books to read and now am patiently awaiting the third in the series. How many do you plan? I know we will we see Caleb and Lampwicke again…but somehow I can just imagine Caleb stealing Lampwicke and following after Garrett. And of course not to forget Skyhammer or Prex, I can imagine them too, both wanting Garrett but for different reasons. And the mystery of Marlas power ….argh, see how deeply you’ve caught me. 🙂 I love the dire wolves and the mystery of the moon that was…..but I’m still trying to figure out who the inquisitors really are, I
Have reread books again and again, finding new things every time I do, it’s a lively tale and I look forward to reading more of Garretts adventures. Hmm who or what is a Songreaver?

    1. Thank you for your kind words, Linda. It means a great deal to me to know that Garrett’s story is meaningful to others as well.

As for the series, my initial (rather naive) estimate was for a five book series. After my most recent story outline, I can see that it might go a bit longer. Book three is on track for a summer release, though a great many more words have managed to wriggle their way into this one, so it will likely be a bit longer than the last book.

      Best Wishes,

      Andy

    1. The only bad part about the series is that I finished all three in two days and now I need more lol.

Thank you! I’m glad you’re enjoying the series.
